I have to honestly say it was one of the best experiences I had experienced in my life. The dogs were amazing and Prue and Pete made it so easy for me to learn how to Sled. Prue and Pete look after their kids very nicely and always put their (Huskies) health and benefits in front of theirs. For anyone who wants to have some fun experience this tour is a must and of course you can get few kisses and cuddles from the huskies at the end of the tour. I would say give it a go for sure."

Life Changing Experience

"I travelled from Germany to Australia and stayed with Sled Dog Adventures Tasmania for about a month. It was a life changing experience for me. Not only the running with the scooters was great but also the social interactions with the pack of Husky’s. Due to great animal husbandry and loving care Prue and Peter changed dogs that were once neglected rescues into confident and happy beings. And pulling a cart or sled is what Husky’s are bred for. Lonnavale is such a peaceful and sane place. I hope I can come back some time soon."

When I came to Australia I've never expected to find such an amazing place like Prue and Peter DeVries' farm. But it was not just an ordinary organic farm in Tassie. I had the pleasure to spent a lot of time with a pack of 15 gorgeous Husky’s, which were mostly rescued by Prue and Peter themselves through different Husky Rescue Organisations. Every single husky has a very lovely and unique character. All of them are very nice and well behaved and just a little bit excited sometimes. About twice a week I had the pleasure to go with the dogs by a scooter either on the road up the hill or on a great track through the forest, which was created by Prue and Peter. My experiences with the Husky’s and especially with the scooters were just amazing! Just you and one, two or up to four Husky’s pulling you through the wilderness of Tasmania gives you a nice feeling of freedom and especially fun. I could basically see that the dogs are enjoying this unique experience at least as much as I did. For my part I spent almost two great months together with Prue, Peter and their Husky’s and did not want to miss a thing! Thank you very much!

Had the best experience ever the other day. It was a cool morning, these beautiful Huskies were ready and so was I, Oh my it was so exhilarating. The tracks and scenery were amazing and and so much fun, To see these Huskies doing what they love was incredible and then to meet and greet the Huskies afterwards was so special to me. Thank you Pete , Prue and family for offering an experience that will stay with me forever . I strongly recommend to everyone you must have a go xx

Thank you to Prue, Peter and Alex (and of course to my lovely friends) for an amazing experience with the best dog crew ever! It was one of the most beautiful experiences I have had with the most beautiful dogs. To know that you are rescuing these animals just makes it all the more special. The scenery and location was an added bonus! Everyone needs to do themselves a favour and take this little adventure

We had the best adventure ride ever with Prue, Pete and their phenomenal huskies. The whole experience was very well run and we would highly recommend it to anyone that loves adventure experiences and loves dogs. It was the highlight of our trip to Tasmania. The huskies are the most beautiful dogs you could ever hope to meet. Prue and Pete do an amazing job of looking after these beautiful dogs and making the whole experience something that is truly unique and one that you will never forget.

Kicked off the day bright and early with a tour by the amazing people who run Sled Dog Adventures Tasmania.
We had a meet and greet with the doggies, then we hit the trails. I had a blast!!! We were flying and the dogs energy really boosted mine or was it the opposite?? Probably both
Then we chilled out around the fire for a hot drink and more cuddles (pats) with the doggies before heading home.
